All-New Aston Martin Vantage: A Bargain at $150,000 [News]

“Porsche. Ferrari. Move Aside. Aston Martin is back!” – Andy Palmer, Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. CEO

The new Vantage —targeted to compete directly with Porsche and Ferrari — is off to a flying start. The British carmaker began selling their newest model just a few days ago and most of the production has already been sold for the year. Bloomberg reports 80 percent of the entire production planned for 2018 has already been bought.

With a starting price of $150,000, the new Vantage undercuts the older V12 model by more than $36,000 — enough chump change to buy a pre-owned 3 Series as a daily driver.

“What we’ve tried to do with Vantage makes it aspirationally younger, cooler, better,” said Palmer.

The Vantage is the second of seven cars that is part of Aston Martin’s second century plan. Its 503 horsepower, 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 makes this sports coupe a lighter, more-focused vehicle than the DB11. And with that power, Aston tells us to expect 0-60 times to be around 3.6 seconds and a top speed around 195 MPH.

Aston Martin is planning to deliver the new Vantage to customers in the second quarter of 2018.
