Buick’s latest release, the 2018 LaCrosse Avenir, goes for the gold.

Sporting a unique three-dimensional black mesh upper and lower grille paired with chrome wings, the LaCrosse Avenir continues the brand’s plan to offer high-end premium models and help give rise to a more modern image. In addition to the chrome accented fascia, the LaCrosse features Avenir script badging on the front doors and exclusive 19-inch Pearl Nickel or available 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels.

“Nine out of ten LaCrosse buyers are choosing one of the top two trim levels — customers are signaling they want more from Buick,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC. “With even more content and an elegant look, Avenir adds a unique name and appearance for those who want the best of our attainable luxury.”

The 310 horsepower V6 engine, nine-speed automatic transmission, panoramic moonroof, navigation, and Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound — available as options on the lower trims — are standard equipment in the Avenir model.

The upscale cabin has exclusive Avenir details that include a Chestnut interior color theme, embroidered headrests, and scripted sill plates. Additional options exclusive to the Avenir model include an Ebony interior, Intelligent Twin-Clutch AWD, and a suite of advanced safety features.

In the past, Buick was criticized for its stodgy, outdated styling and subsequently, sales of its crossovers and sedans struggled. Since Buick turned the corner a few years ago with invigorated styling, award-winning concept vehicles, and unprecedented sales success in China, the brand is going stronger than ever.

Credit goes to China for Buick’s revival and Asian customers are helping the brand develop new products more in tune with American buyers, as well. Additionally, customers are asking for more premium materials and unique styling cues. The LaCrosse and Enclave Avenir models fulfill that demand for something a little higher.

The Buick LaCrosse Avenir is due to arrive in showrooms early 2018.
