The 2011 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 4WD Crew Cab will go from 0-60 in just over 7 seconds.
It will also tow 16,800 pounds and cargo bed will carry over 2500 pounds of payload. That's pretty amazing for a full sized pick-up.
Part of the reason the 2011 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 4WD Crew Cab is so capable is the Duramax 6.6L V8 Turbo Diesel that puts out 397 HP and an astonding 765 ponds-feet of torque.
But is it better than the Ford or the Dodge?
Recently Nathan and Roman had the chance to drive the HD pick-up in Colorado. Check out their first drive video below.

My family has collectively owned over a hundred General Motors products over the past five-decades. Most of these GM cars were Cadillacs (Casa De Cadillac on Ventura Blvd. loves us). Despite our family’s taste for American luxury, I preferred German and Japanese build quality. I can still hear myself kvetching every time I drove a Cadillac as I never liked the quality, power or performance – especially in the 80’s and 90’s.
I mean, if GM can’t make a good Caddi’ – and that’s their best car brand – why bother with the rest of their fleets?
There was an almost arrogant presumption that Americans would buy what was dictated to them. They didn’t. Fortunately, things have changed. Corporate types at GM realized that they MUST build better cars and trucks (going bankrupt can be humbling).
Take this 2011 GMC Acadia Denali for an example of newer GM thinking.

When I am doing my week-long evaluation of a vehicle, I try to find its soul. Some cars and trucks have something deep within that one could call “soul.” If I find that soul, it’s passes through me in the form of music.
That’s right – motorized vehicles and music go together like bananas and peanut butter.
For some odd, unattainable realm of logic – the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali channels Seasick Steve. For those of you not in the “know” about good ol’ Seasick Steve – he’s a blues man with a unique sound (he builds most of his guitars from junk) and he’s a man from another time (which is a title of one of his songs).

General Motors only made two mistakes when building the GMC Terrain.
1. They designed it to look like a beefy truck (which it is not).
2. They gave it a far too macho name. “Terrain” reminds many of difficult to traverse obstacles on off-road paths.
Other than that, I found the GMC Terrain a brilliant, tall, long wagon.

The marketing types of this world would have you believe that there
are car people and truck people. They also like to divide car buyers
into the "green" hybrid types and the more traditional fossil fuel
burning "muscle car" drivers.
While these simplistic stereotypes
may hold true on some level, the fact remains that people buy cars and
trucks that best meet their needs.
