The 2012 Infiniti EX35 AWD has no fewer than four video cameras mounted all around the car. Together these four cameras provide a 360 degree bird's eye view around the entire car. Infiniti calls this system Around View. And the company was one of the first in the auto business to introduce this technology to the consumer.

So just how well does this work in everyday use like parallel parking a car?

We thought we'd find out with a simple challenge. We put Infiniti's Around View to the test in this first part of the TFLcar technology Challenge.

We put Infiniti's Around View to the test in this first part of the TFLcar technology demo Challenge.

The plan was simple one. We wanted to see if we could park the Infiniti using only the Around View Cameras so we completely wrapped the car in dark paper turning it into a temporary submarine....at least from a outward visibility perceptive.

With 297 horsepower and direct and responsive steering it certainly drives like a sports car.

But with 5 doors, all-wheel-drive and a taller ride height with folding backseats it certainly looks like a Crossover. And just like a classic station wagon it will haul you and your stuff to the nearest ski resorts.

Review: Infiniti takes aim at Germany's best luxury sedans with the 2012 M flagship

The 2012 Infiniti M flagship sedan is comparable to handsome, upscale sports sedans from any country.

The “M” never sold as well as Nissan’s upscale Infiniti division felt it should have. So the 2011 model was blessed with superior styling, more-powerful engines, advanced safety equipment and a more attractive interior. Sales quickly picked up.

The “G” sedan from Nissan’s Infiniti luxury division compares favorably with top sports/luxury sedans.

The 2011 G sedan comes as the G37 with a 3.7-liter V-6 that produces 328 horsepower or as the new G25, which has a 2.5-liter V-6 with 218 horsepower. That engine is from Nissan’s Japanese-market Skyline model.

The G25 has the same exterior, interior and chassis as the G37, which means it has the same slick body but low front end that can be damaged by high curbs if a driver isn’t
careful.

The G25 does 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds. That’s hardly crawling, but is nearly two seconds slower to 60 than the thundering G37, which has a great exhaust sound under full throttle.

The 2011 Infinti G37 Coupe (with the sports package) comes with gorgeous 19 inch wheels.

Like many new cars today the wheels are fitted with ultra low profile tires that make the G37 Coupe look more sporty and yes...even cool.

But what looks cool and provides added traction is also a huge pain in the butt when it comes to curbs.

Unlike more traditional wheel and tire combinations the Infiniti's gorgeous 19 inch wheels almost guarantee that if you get too close to a curb, for instance while parallel parking, you'll hear the expensive sound of alloys wheels getting scratched by cement.

So how do you keep from curbing and scratching them when parallel parking the car?

The 2011 Infiniti QX56 is a completely redesigned and power-loaded edition of Nissan’s largest SUV, which originated in 1997 as a re-badged midsize Nissan Pathfinder.

The new QX56 is longer, wider, and lower than the previous model. Its only powertrain teams a 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission.

The seven-passenger (or eight passenger with an optional second-row bench seat) is available in a single trim level with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive that can be left engaged on dry pavement. It also includes a low-range gear for off-roading.
