This comparison might be called, “Separated After Birth”.
Ford used to own both brands; now a Middle Eastern group owns Aston and the Indian corporation Tata holds Jaguars reins. Once siblings with a common heritage, these two now go head to head as rivals.
So which is the better ride?
Jaguar bet the farm on the newest XF.
After a 10-years-of building cars like the S and X types that were the equivalent of a bad copy of a copy of a copy, the well regarded car manufacturer had to do something special to put the growl back in the cat.
So is the 2010 Jaguar XF Premium with the new 385HP 5.0L V8 engine the worth the wait?

The Good
You got to love the British. Not only do they have a way with iconic cars, but also iconic words. Take the word whinging for instance. As used in the following comment posted on my recent video review (see below) of the XF.
"Brilliant car, but this guy is just whinging about trivial stuff, personally i think the radio turning off whilst reversing is a great idea by Jaguar!!!"
"To complain in a moaning manner," that's what whinging means when spoken with that distinct British accent.

It used to be that Jaguar built cars for rich fat men who smoked big cigars and drank straight liquor out of short glasses with lots of ice, but who fancied themselves as the long lost svelte cousins of James Bond.
With the new XF all of that changed when the company engineers designed a car for the next century and not for the year 1950.
