Now
close to becoming a teenager, the Mazda MX-5 (still called the Miata by
purists) is in its third edition as the best-selling sports car in
history.
Since its debut in 1989, more than 850,000 Miatas have
sold, and a lot more will likely sell considering the upgrades — some
substantial, some subtle — for the 2010 model. The new edition is
available with a manual-folding soft top with a heated-glass rear
window or a power-folding hardtop, and there are 10 trims. It all ups
up to a sure-thing to continue the sports car's legacy.

This sweetheart trips the light fantastic!
Mazda has always
been a utility player in the automotive field. With the exception of
the ridiculous (now discontinued) B-series, mostly-Ford Ranger pickup
truck, all of their vehicles are very competitive. It’s not a question
of individual preference, as many automotive periodicals sign the
praises of Mazda.

Dude, it’s like shoving a Rottweiler into a Pomeranian’s kennel! A fun to drive, hardtop convertible kennel… I guess.
Don’t get me wrong – I love the
Mazda MX-5 as it is a real driver’s car. Unfortunately, it’s not built
for shaved down silver-backs like me. At 6’2” and 250 lbs, I have a
hard time with comfort in the narrow confines of the Mazda MX-5,
especially when the nifty retractable hardtop roof is up.
