Video: Honda builds a smaller and goofier Segway, but why?

Hondau3

It is called the U3-X and its built by Honda to sort of compete with the Segway.

Except that it is smaller, has only one wheel, and at least for now—Honda has no plans to sell it?

"Unfortunately Honda President Takanobu Ito said the machine was still 'a proposal,' and the company has no sales plans, pricing or firm ideas on where or how it will be used," according to the MailOnline.com.

So think of it as a tiny electric powered unicycle that balances itself.

Now we have to admit that it would be pretty cool to ride one of these down to the company water cooler and try to bring back two cups of water without spilling them.

In fact, you could have a pretty fun office race if you got a bunch of your co-workers got involved in the Tour de Water Cooler, but beyond that we just can't think of a use.

No wait, here's another one.

When you watch the video below you'll see that it sort of looks like you are floating when you ride the U3-X.

And with a white sheet and Halloween just around the corner—we're sure you can figure out the rest.
