This summer we showed you how a Volvo equipped with City Safety can stop itself and avoid hitting a whale (or perhaps another car) stopped in the road.
Now Volvo engineers are taking the concept to the next logical test. They are enhancing the car's ability to not only avoid stalled whales and cars, but more importantly pedestrians.
In the video below a disguised prototype of Volvo's new S60 model is shown testing the new system on the crowded streets of Copenhagen in Denmark.
Luckily there are plenty of pedestrians to avoid hitting, and very few stray whales.
