Video: Jay Leno does a lot of burnouts in the new Gullwinged Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Sls
Honestly, it is getting a little hard to keep track of all of the Mercedes sports coupes.

Now Mercedes has just introduced the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. This one is a little easier to remember because it is Merc's gullwinged supercar, unlike (for instance) the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren which has scissor style doors.

In the latest episode of his web based show, Jay Leno takes the SLS for a spin thought the streets of Burbank California.

The video seems to mostly be Jay doing a lot of traction controlled burnouts. (Sorry Jay but we call them as we see them)

Leno has a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren sitting in his garage, but somehow he diligently avoids comparing the two cars head to head. It would have been fun to see a drag race between the two supercars.

He does compare the current AMG Gullwing with his 1955 300 SL Gullwing.

When seen side by the side the new car's styling looks almost frumpy and uninspired. Also, could they have placed the new car's door handle any lower on the door. We're happy to see that Mercedes is finally designing cars for little people, but what about big people.

Anyway, watch the video below and count how many times Jay smiles driving Merc's newest supercar.
