Video: Dead guy riding…a motorcyle at the funeral in Puerto Rico

Deadbike

Usually we strongly advocate wearing a helmet when riding a motorcycle but this case is certainly an exception as the 22-year-old Puerto Rican man poised atop the Honda CBR600 F4 is dead.

In fact the rider (David Morales Colón) was the victim of a recent shooting and he's being buried today.

The Puerto Rican funeral home (Marin Funeral Home in San Juan) where the wake was held is making national news because of the way it displayed the body.

The funeral home, "put the corpse atop a motorcycle in a hunched-over racing position. The
body wears a black cap, black sunglasses and a long-sleeved black
T-shirt," according to the Associated Press and the video below.

"According to Puerto Rico's Primera Hora newspaper, the
motorcycle was given to the victim by his uncle, and upon Mr. Colón's
untimely demise, family members delivered the bike to the funeral home
specifically for this unusual wake," Autoblog.com reports.

Watch the video at your own discretion as it may seem very odd to some who are used to a much more traditional way of displaying the dead.
