So how long do you suppose it would take to cut the typical lawn using Dale Wales land speed record breaking lawn mower?

The Brit recently broke the land speed record on his lawn mower on a British beach reaching 87.833 mph…shattering the old lawn mower speed of 80.792 mph, set in 2006 at Bonneville flats in America.

Check out a video of the American record breaking run HERE.

Over a two day period the British team first achieved a new record speed of 86.06 9mph on Saturday, and than broke that record on Sunday.

"We are very excited and very pleased to have beaten our own record
today," said Clare Hansley-Boyd, a spokeswoman for the British team. "We
have finished the weekend as world record holders and have improved on
yesterday's speed – so we are happy with that."

To officially break the record the lawn mower has to be made with certified lawn mower parts, and the record attempt must be proceeded with a demonstration of actual lawn mowing.

"They're very tired after the efforts they put in over the weekend,"
Hansley-Boyd said. "It's a bit early to say where we'll be going from
here, but I think the 100mph target is something everyone will be aiming
at for the future."
