Can the same guy or gal who sells a Dodge Ram pick-up also sell a tiny Fiat 500?

Chrysler thinks no.

That's why the company is planning on opening about 200 new Fiat dealership around the country to sell the Fiat cars this fall.

Current Chrysler dealers will have the chance to apply for the new Fiat dealerships, but they'll have to commit to setting up a new showroom and dealership.

"Dealers are going to have to demonstrate how they will
market, sell and service Fiat vehicles with a new customer service
model," says company spokesman Ralph Kisiel.

Chrysler plans on opening the new Fiat dealership in urban locations and is currently targeting 41 states.

As you may recall from THIS story Fiat was given control of Chrysler last year after the company went bankrupt.

Fiats were last sold in the United States in the eighties and the diminutive and highly successful Fiat 500 know as the Cinquecento in Italy will be amount the first Fiats sold in the United States.
