2,300 Nissan cars bound for America destroyed like Hot Wheels by Tsunami

They now look like crumpled, burned and stacked toy Hot Wheels tossed about by an angry child, but in fact they some 2,300 Nissan and Infiniti cars that were bound for the United States.

While most of Japan’s car factories were spared by the devastating earthquake and Tsunami, nearly 1,300 Infiniti M, EX and FX models were destroyed as they awaited shipment to the United States according to published reports.

The destroyed cars also included a small percentage of Nissan Z cars as well as other Nissan automobiles.

Insurance analysts estimate that the horrific earthquake and Tsunami might cost the global car industry up to $10 billion dollars not to mention the tremendous and tragic loss of life and devastation to the environment.
