Video: the all new 2012 Range Rover Evoque exposed Inside & Out

The all new 2012 Range Rover Evoque is only the sixth new model that Range Rover has build and designed since the company started in 1948.

What makes it even more unusual is that the Evoque is basically the concept car that Range Rover showed a few years ago to the public.

In other words, the Evoque is one of those rare concept cars that actually makes it into general production. The new car comes only with a turbo charged in-line four cylinder that puts out 240 HP and is mated to a six speed automatic transmission. There are two body types: a) like the concept car a two door coupe and b) a more traditional SUV like four door.

Both body styles come with a massive panoramic roof that makes what is really a pretty small car seem much bigger on the inside than on the outside. Price start at just a tick under $44,000 but can soar to as much as $58,000 when you add all of the goodies to your shipping list like 20 inch wheels.

We recently had a chance to chat with one of the engineers in charge of the new Range Rover Evoque at the media launch of the car in Whistler BC, Canada about what makes this range Rover so special. Check out the video below.
