Nelson Piquet Jr. today won the first Nationwide NASCAR race of his career at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
The son of three-time F1 champion Nelson Sr. beat both Jacques Villeneuve and Danica Patric across the finish line when the two racers collided near the end of the race.
NASCAR driver Michael McDowell was second, followed by Ron Fellows, Max Papis and Sam Hornish Jr. in fourth place.
