The 2013 Ram 1500 self-leveling Air Suspension Technical Demonstration

The new 2013 Ram 1500 now can be had with self-leveling air suspension

The new 2013 Ram 1500 Pick-Up has a new and unique feature taken from the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Chrysler says the new pick-up new self leveling air suspension will not only make the pick-up tow better,  it will  give it the edge when going off-road and, at the same time, return higher MPGs when cruising down the highway.

The new Ram 1500’s air suspension will allow it to lift substantially higher when called upon for difficult off road terrain. In much the same way the Jeep Grand Cherokee does, the height is adjustable from inside the Ram 1500’s cockpit. When travelling down the highway, the new Ram 1500 will lower which will lower wind resistance and increase economy. To aid ingress and egress, the Ram 1500 can lower, when parked, to make entering and exiting easier. It will automatically level itself when a heavy load is in the bed too.

We recently had a chance to check out this unique feature on the new Ram 1500 to see how it actually works.
