What if you walked into a Super Walmart and it was full of candy and nothing else. Just think of acres and acres of candy of all types and sizes. Which candy would you choose? Which candy would be your favorite? This is what it’s like for an automotive enthusiast to walk into the vast expenses of the Las Vegas Convention Center for the SEMA Show. And the SEMA Show 2012 is no different.
SEMA stands for “Specialty Equipment Market Association” and this show is a trade-only industry event and is not open for general public. Can you imagine? They have a Walmart full of candy and you are not allowed in! The only way you can get access to the stuff is by reading and watching about it. Then, you can order your own candy, based on what you saw, read, or heard.
Fortunately, there is not quite enough room inside the Las Vegas Convention Center, and some of the stuff spills out into the surrounding parking lots for the common folk to see and enjoy. Also, this year marks the second annual SEMA Cruise. This is a parade of some of the show cars that will take place on Friday November 2nd, 2012 at 4pm and just outside the Convention Center.
So many wild and crazy vehicles to learn about! For example, how about this 500 hp AWD VW Super Beetle brought to us by VWVortex! The specs on this car are mind boggling, but it actually looks restrained and tame in comparison with some other crazy SEMA show cars and trucks.
