Ram Brand announced that a new Ram ProMaster commercial vans will be joining Ram Commercial Division lineup in 2013. We don’t know many detail about it yet. The big van is still clocked in mystery, but it will properly introduced in 2013 (likely at the Chicago Auto Show) and go on sale in the third quarter of 2013. One detail we know that the ProMaster is based on the Fiat Ducato van. Fiat is a major commercial van player in the rest of the world, and Ram will use their expertise to transform the Ducato into the ProMaster.
The folks at Ram promise that powertrains and specifications of the new van will be more than competitive in the US Commercial Van market. The ProMaster will do battle against the Nissan NV, Mercedes Sprinter, the upcoming Ford Transit, and the Express/Savana vans from GM. Next year will be very exciting for Commercial fleet managers and contractors everywhere.
