Viper Week: The 2013 SRT Viper tears up the race track

The 2013 SRT Viper tears up the race track

The 2013 SRT Viper is at home on the race track. In fact the new SRT and GTS Viper is really a race car in civilian clothing.

Welcome to TFLcar’s Viper week. For the next 5 days we’ll be featuring a new Viper video every day.

Today we continue with a video of the Viper doing what it does best….tearing up the Sonoma Raceway in the hands of Ralph Gilles, the CEO and President of the newly minted SRT Brand.

The new Viper is Ralph’s baby.

He was intimately involved in the new car’s design and creation.

In this video he talks about what makes the new 2013 SRT Viper such an American supercar classic. Also and  perhaps most interestingly, he reveals the newest generation of Viper will also get an automatic transmission during the life of the car.

Check it out below as we get to ride along with Ralph as he tears up Sonoma Raceway in the new 2013 Viper.

BTW: Chrysler flew us out to California to test drive the new 2013 SRT Viper. They put us up in a snazzy hotel and even rented Sonoma Raceway to give us a chance to drive the new Viper on the track. However the best laid plans of mice and men….well you know… and it rained like – well – Northern California….making for an interesting wet racetrack and this soggy review.
