What do you call a Hyundai Azera with a KIA badge? The answer is the 2014 KIA Cadenza.

The 2014 KIA Cadenza is KIA’s take on the entry level luxury Azera.

Powering the Cadenza is a 3.3L direct-injection V6 that produces 293 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque.

The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that also comes with a Sportmatic manual.

There’s a ton of technology in the 2014 KIA Cadenza but you can watch this exclusive TFLcar video to get the rest of the important facts.

Editor’s note: The 2014 KIA Cadenza is a cousin to the Hyundai Genesis. That is to say: they both share the same power-train. Usually I take KIA’s side on the good styling in the family, but bit this time. I think the Genesis is more handsome and has a more subtle shape. The 2014 KIA Cadenza is not ugly, some people thought it was just as nice as the stunning Optima.

Just as stunning? Naw. I wouldn’t go that far. The thing is, I’ve been used to KIA blowing my socks off, as of late, with their exterior designs. This is nowhere near as eye catching as the current Rio5 – never mind the Optima. The execution is too convoluted and the wheels look terrible on the 2014 KIA Cadenza.

Let’s see if your opinion differs. Oh, and – by the way – look for the open trunk during the debut… it’s pretty funny.
