Cadillac introduces sick new color options for the CTS-V lineup

Imagine having a satin paint finish that still sparkles when the light hits it a certain way. Imagine no longer, Cadillac’s CTS models will have that option if you order the Silver Frost Edition. This will be a limited run color/package that includes color options for the wheels, brake calipers and interior upgrades.

There will be two distinctive packages with these colors. Stealth Blue Edition and Silver Frost Edition are (so far) the only two color options and each is unique.

According to Cadillac, “The Cadillac CTS Stealth Blue Edition is a vibrant new color in a more traditional metallic finish, and will appear on the CTS Coupe and the high-performance CTS-V in  Coupe, Sedan and Wagon body styles. The Stealth Blue Edition also will offer an optional “Twilight Blue” leather interior package to go with the blue-grey Stealth Blue exterior paint finish.

Stealth Blue CTS models can also be equipped with multiple performance-inspired details such as:

  • Satin graphite wheels with silver calipers
  • Dark finish grille
  • Recaro performance seats”

The Silver Frost Edition has similar enhancements with no mention of Recaro performance seats.

These color choices come with a hefty warning, you must hand-wash these vehicles only. “The paint texture will also be noticeably different to the touch as the finish will be slightly less smooth. This is a desirable trait for fans of matte paint finishes. The paint is engineered to be as durable as normal paint but requires special attention for cleaning. The vehicle should be hand washed only.” – – GM Media

No clue as to what the prices are – but I do know that the Recaro seats, on their own, cost $3,400 as a package.

Speaking of pimp-lookin’ Caddis’ – check out this sweet ATS video!

I like the idea, but it feels a bit too gansta’ for these models. What do you think?
