Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the new 2014 E63 AMG S-Model 4MATIC Wagon. If you’re a car nut, you know the AMG designation is code for “station wagon with a massive V-8 under the hood.” However if you’re a three-pointed star fan, you might be wondering what the “S-Model” wording is all about. In this case, the 2014 E63 AMG S-Model 4MATIC is all about POWER!

For 2014, if the “regular” 5.5-liter bi-turbo engine with 550 hp and torque of 531 lb-ft is not enough, that S-Model badge brings up the numbers to an asphalt-shredding 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. With the extra power and torque you can expect to shave a second off your 0-60 mph run, tying a Lamborghini Murciélago at 3.5 seconds.  Getting a time that quick wouldn’t be possible without the 2014 E63 AMG S-Model 4MATIC’s standard all-wheel drive.

I’ve got a massive soft spot for wagons (especially of the German variety). I guess it makes sense I’m currently finding a way to raid the The Fast Lane Car coffers and put my non-essential organs on the black market so I can afford this thing. With an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph, “milk runs” would have an all-new meaning.
