Is the Ram Power Wagon the best, stock zombie apocalypse vehicle?

I am a zombie fan like many of you and I foresee many level headed citizens going for a Ram Power Wagon when the zombie apocalypse comes. Why? Simply put: out of the box – it’s the most capable truck out there. Don’t get me wrong, the Ford F150 Raptor, Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Titan are very capable too. The heavy-duty underpinnings, go-anywhere suspension setup and athletic capability make the Ram Power Wagon a good bet when the dead come to life.

I especially like the front disconnecting stabilizer bar, Warn winch and robust chassis. I’ve done serious off road adventuring in a Ram Power Wagon and it never failed me. Despite its size, it went places only Jeep could go.

Here’s the list of many goodies on the Ram Power Wagon: Ram Power Wagon

  • 5.7L HEMI® V8 w/ 383 Horsepower w/ Six-Speed Automatic
  • Maximum Towing: 10,200 pounds+
  • Maximum Payload: 1,880 pounds+
  • 17-Inch Aluminum Wheels
  • Warn® Winch
  • 4.56 Rear Axle Ratio
  • Front Disconnecting Stabilizer Bar
  • Fuel Tank Skid Plate Shield
  • Transfer Case Skid Plate Shield
  • Tru-Lok® Front and Rear Axles

At just under $47,000 base, the Ram Power Wagon is just about the same price as the Ford F150 Raptor. Let’s face it, the Raptor is more fun and more of an extroverted vehicle. Still, when the chips are down and dead folk become the flesh eating un-dead – I would rather have the near military-grade Ram Power Wagon.

Yes, it’s a silly way to judge a vehicle – but if it’s good for surviving a zombie apocalypse, it should kick ass everywhere!
