US pricing for 2014 GT-R Track Edition announced

Nissan continues the GT-R legend with the announcement of a limited production 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition.  Any GT-R has an astonishing performance envelope, but the engineers at Nissan are never content.  Today Nissan announced that just 150 units of the Track Edition car will be sold in the United States and the sticker price of this instant collectible is: $115,710 plus shipping and handling.  This six figure price may sound high for a Nissan sports car, but this GT-R is anything but ordinary.  It’s performance can match or better those from other exotics at a half or a third of the price.

The Track Edition of the GT-R brings the car as close to a streetable race car as possible without being illegal.  The suspension was Nurburgring tuned with higher spring rates and special Bilstein shocks for ultimate handling (read – very firm).  The rear seats are deleted to save weight.  There is improved brake cooling and several other carbon fiber parts to further hone its track ready performance.  Power comes from the same 545 horsepower twin turbo V6 as in other 2014 GT-Rs.  And this mighty force is delivered to the all four “special metallic black six-spoke RAYS® forged lightweight wheels mounted with Dunlop® SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT ultra high performance run-flat nitrogen-filled tires”.  That’s a mouth full, but it’s all business!

If you are looking for another sports car to add to your collection.  This one should be included!
