    1. The Corvette Stingray was introduced in 1963 and ended in 1967. It was the C2 model. The next stingray was the c3 ranging from 1969-1978 but not used with the ’68 model. The most recent stingray is of course the new 2014 C7 model corvette. Love Ya TFL Car! Thanks.

    2. The Stingray name was used from 1963 to 1967 on the C2 models. However the 1968 and 1969 C3 models had the name Stingray on them. So, Corvettes were officially referred to as Stingrays from 1963 to 1969.

IT STARTED IN 1963-1976 spanning from the C2 generation to about halfway to the C3 generation with the 1968 model not having any stingray badges but still being referred to as the corvette stingray and when 1969 came stingray become a single word emblem instead of “Sting Ray”. IN 1976 Chevrolet decided to replace the stingray emblems with the C
