The 2014 Nissan Juke represents one of the most unique vehicles in its segment, because it made its own segment. Sure, the MINI Countryman, Subaru Crosstrek SV and Range Rover Evoque are simular in size and offer one form of AWD/4WD or another – but the Juke is built for a different demographic. The Nissan Juke was originally built for young, urban men. Funny how demographics can be so wrong.

All 2014 Nissan Jukes come with a turbocharger, 1.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline engine that makes 197 horsepower, in Nismo trim, and 188 hp for the regular version. A six-speed manual is available only with the front-drive models. All-wheel drive (AWD) comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which saps some of the fun.

The good news is: the Nissan Juke is still a very affordable, turbocharged runabout. Despite reservations about its unusual design and tight rear section (cargo and rear seating are cramped) the Juke is a pretty damn fun ride. Prices for the USA’s 2014 Nissan Juke have just been announced:
