The 2014 Hyundai Veloster R-Spec slots in between the base Veloster and the Turbo. The R-Spec is powered by the same turbocharged 1.6-liter four cylinder with 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque as in the more premium Turbo model. The R-Spec Turbo does not have some of the luxurious features, but it does have updated sport tuned suspension and steering. It has racy red accents throughout. It also has a 6-speed manual transmission.
It comes in at $1,000 below the starting price of the turbo, or $21,100. The 2014 Veloster R-Spec goes on sale in January of 2014.
