2014 lexus lx570 lx loveland pass blizzard snow off-road

What would you call a test of a vehicle’s all-wheel-drive or 4WD system that combines extreme winter conditions, hairpin mountain turns, sheer cliffs, and 12,000 feet of elevation gain in the Rocky Mountains in a blinding blizzard? At TFLcar – we call this the brand new Loveland Gauntlet.  Check out this extreme test of the new 2014 Lexus LX570 and its ability to tame the winter mountains in an all out Colorado blizzard.

Will this capable luxury off-roader make it up and down the mountain?  Will the all-season mud and snow (M+S) tires let it down?  Watch the video to find out.

    1. Please stop doing this test; it’s extremely dangerous, and just plain stupid to do in those conditions. We don’t want to read that you got hurt or killed.

    2. This was one of your best real world reviews. Very few SUV’s are driven off road. I bought my 2014 Subaru Forester XT for driving in snow not off road. If I want to go off road it will be in a Jeep wrangler. Who wants to take the chance of scratching their shinny SUV going off road.
I hope you do many more reviews of SUV’s in the snow and not off road. How about Subaru next, I hear there are a lot of them in Colorado.
