Canada Gets a Sexy Supercar In The Felino cB7

Felion cB7

When you think supercar you don’t likely think Canada, but the people at Felino Corpoation are out to change your mind with the introduction of their cB7 supercar. They debuted the car at the Salon International de Montréal recently and it is one sexy beast.

It looks like it can’t wait to let loose on the track, which makes perfect sense given that Felino’s CEO is race driver Antoine Bessette. Although the company itself has been around for a decade, it was only four years ago that they set out to create a high-performance, two-seater sports car. Prior to that they weren’t so much known for building cars as hosting corporate events and conducting driving classes.

Now, after those four years of research, they’re introducing the Felino cB7 which is being built specifically for the track, although there is a chance they’ll actually make it street legal. It’s loaded with composite and carbon fiber to keep the weight down and comes in at 2,502 pounds with a 50/50 weight ratio from front to back.

It’s good looks are matched by an equally impressive engine hidden beneath the hood. There’s a 6.2-liter V8 engine with a cast aluminum engine block that boasts 525 horsepower and 489 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission will come standard with an available sequential gearbox. In other words, it’s fast.

Exactly how fast Canada’s supercar will be isn’t yet known as they’re still completing tests and don’t expect to have those numbers for us until sometime toward the end of the year. The exact price is also a bit of a question mark, but they say it will come in under $100,000 so it’ll be expensive, but not completely out of reach.

Nicole Wakelin fell in love with cars as a teenager when she got to go for a ride in a Ferrari. It was red and it was fast and that was all that mattered. Game over. She considers things a bit more carefully now, but still has a weakness for fast, beautiful cars. Nicole also writes for NerdApproved and GeekMom.
