Ferrari Land Theme Park Opening In Spain

If the prospect of heading to Disney World with the kids has lost its luster, then you’ll be happy to hear there’s a Ferrari Land theme park set to open up in Spain.

There’s already a Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and it has done well enough that Ferrari has decided to expand on the idea. This new theme park will be located just outside of Barcelona, Spain and it will be a joint venture with PortAventura that’s going to be quite an undertaking.

Ferrari Land will cover 75,000 square meters and will have Ferrari-themed fun for the whole family, not just for the auto enthusiast. There will be all the usual theme park attractions with restaurants, shops, and rides, but there will be one thing you won’t find anywhere else. Plans currently call for the park to be the home of Europe’s highest and fastest vertical accelerator.

You’ll also find Europe’s first Ferrari-themed hotel at Ferrari Land so you can rest your weary head after a day of fun in the park. It will be a luxury five-star resort with 250 rooms, restaurants, and a driving simulator. Wonder if they’ll have Ferrari car beds like the ones for toddlers but on a grown-up scale? Admit it, you were wondering the same thing.

There is plenty of time to save your pennies for a family trip to Spain. Ferrari Land isn’t set to open until 2016.
