Ford Everest Concept Shows The Future of The Mid-Size SUV

Ford Everest Concept

The Ford Everest Concept took the stage at the Bangkok Auto Show hinting at the future of the mid-size, seven-seat SUV. Designed for the ASEAN and global markets, the Ford Everest Concept has a bold design that shows off both its rugged capabilities and its refinement and suitability to comfortable, everyday driving.

It starts with headlights that are connected to an inverted trapezoidal grille set high up on the front of the vehicle. This allowed designers the ability to make those lights larger to create a bold impression. This sets the stage for the vehicle’s overall presence from the front with a wide, powerful stance that speaks to its capability. Those lights then sweep back into a sleek, aerodynamic profile.

Ford Everest Concept Rear

The rear of the Ford Everest Concept features chiseled taillamps over a negative scallop that eliminates the large, flat planes usually found on an SUV. There’s also a visibly high ground clearance to show that this isn’t just for looks, but is actually capable of tackling tougher terrain as easily as a smooth road.

Slated to be built in Thailand, the vehicle is set to aim at the growing global utility market which saw a 13% increase just last year. Ford managed to outpace that rate with its own vehicles selling 1.2 million utility vehicles during the same period for an increase of 35%, nearly triple the market as a whole.
