If you were Nissan and Infiniti engineers and you had the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 GT-R motor at your disposal, wouldn’t you try to get it into more vehicles?  Or stuff it into any vehicle you could get your hands on?  Yes, there was the insane Juke-R project.  However, wouldn’t it be nice to walk into your Infiniti dealership and purchase a four-door version of the crazy GT-R?  It would be a grown-up family version of the all-out sports car.

Here are a few numbers.  This version of the motor produces 560 hp and feed a full-time all wheel drive system via a 7-speed transmission.  The power is split 50/50 front to back and Infiniti predicts 0-60 mph acceleration of under 4.0 seconds.  We have to believe them.  Top speed for the sedan is estimated at 180 mph.  These numbers certainly demand attention from folks at AMG, M, and RS divisions.

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge roars into life

Well, Infiniti says that it received a lot of positive feedback on the Eau Rouge concept, but it still has not announced production plans for the car.  What will it take for them to give it a green light?  Can you imagine all the modified 1,000+ HP Q50 sedans at your local drag strip?

Here is the insider TFLcar video of the Q50 Eau Rouge concept from Detroit:
