The redesigned 2015 Kia Sedona has just been unveiled at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, and TFLcar has already found a prototype testing at high elevation.  The new Kia minivan has a tall belt-line for a more masculine appearance. The chassis and body are stiffer thanks to extensive usage of high strength steel.  Kia expects top level safety test results.

The updated Sedona grows a bit in most dimensions to make it at the top or near the top of the class.  It has more legroom and the second row captain chairs come with lazy-boy style foot rests.  It has dual sunroofs and an overall more luxurious interior. Kia’s latest UVO technology will be included.  It will come with a new Kia App Store, which should be friendly to both Apple and Google environments.

Power is supplied by the company’s newer 3.3L V6 that produces 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.  The power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
