2015 Mustang at Goodwood Festival of Speed [Video]

2015 Mustang

The Goodwood Festival of Speed brings out some of the world’s newest and most exotic cars. Ford Europe, looking to make a smash with the 2015 Ford Mustang, brought a prototype out to run the race up the hill. The car they used was a US-specification GT driven by performance driver Paul Swift. This is one of the first opportunities for the Europeans to see the new Mustang in action!

Yes, it’s a Ford promotional video. As a result, it doesn’t show the time the car achieved while running the course, and the background music overshadows the awesome V8 soundtrack most of the time. But, it’s still a chance to see the 2015 Mustang out and about, and unless you live in the Dearborn, Michigan area, you probably haven’t seen many of them.

The 2015 Mustang will launch globally later this year. According to sources, production could begin as early as Monday. Regardless, the sixth-generation Mustang will be produced for a global audience from the Flat Rock, Michigan assembly plant. Signifiant changes for the 2015 model year include an independent rear suspension and an all-new EcoBoost 4-cylinder that could make as much as 350hp.
