The 2015 Audi A3 looks classically Audi on the outside but features an updated interior that makes it a bit more modern and edgy. This entry-level Audi might be just that, entry-level, but you will feel like you’re driving a much more expensive sedan thanks to ample attention to detail and a powerful, responsive engine.

The outside really does just scream Audi, which makes it even more appealing. There’s no mistaking what you’re driving and for those looking to make an impression, the 2015 Audi A3 will do nicely. Inside, the Audi aesthetic is preserved with a panoramic sunroof that fills the car with light, a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, leather sets with a 12-way power driver’s seat, and a driver information system with trip computer. Priced at $35,745 as tested, this Audi felt anything but entry-level.

They say you can’t read a book by its cover, but the luxurious, sports sedan vibe of the A3 was backed up by its 2.0T, 4-cylinder with 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Those are nice numbers for a sedan this size and it took advantage of every last bit of that horsepower. The 6-speed automatic shifts smoothly with impressive acceleration off the line and driving on highways is a joy. It handles with the tight, crispness you’d expect from a German car and leaves the driver confident and in control at all times.

Audi has a reputation for building beautiful, elegant, and very driver-focused cars and the 2015 Audi A3 is no exception. Those who’ve long wanted to experience the brand but have found it priced out of their range would do well to take the new A3 for a test drive.
