2015 Jeep Cherokee

The 2015 Jeep Cherokee has a new feature. It’s the automatic engine start/stop system. The 2015 model year Cherokee has began production in late August 2014. It still offers the choice of two engines: 2.4L four-cylinder (184 hp / 171 lb-ft), and the 3.2L V6 (271 hp / 239 lb-ft). The 9-speed automatic transmission returns for duty. It still can be had with FWD or 4×4.

The base front-wheel-drive model with the 2.4L engine has an EPA estimate of 22 MPG city, 31 MPG highway, and 25 MPG combined. Jeep estimates that the new start/stop system can improve the city fuel economy by around 3%. If you are stuck in traffic a lot, the saving can be a little higher than that.
