The 2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an all electric vehicle that’s easy to drive especially in a crowded city like Washington DC. It’s got four doors and capacity to carry four people and their stuff. The electric motor produces 66 hp and 145 of instant lb-ft of torque. It’s curb weight is 2,579 pounds and it’s government rated at a combined 112 MPGe or a combined driving range of 62 miles on a full charge. Mitsubishi says that slower city traffic driving may yield a maximum range of 98 miles. A 240V / 15A charger will take around six hours to fully replenish the batteries.
It starts at $22,995 and this is before the $7,500 federal tax credit for all-electric vehicles.
