The 2016 Jaguar F-Type AWD is one of the sharpest track tools in the sports car tool box. Today at the LA Auto Show this sporty Jaguar just got a whole lot more fun and all weather capable with the debut of the 2016 Jaguar F-Type AWD.

Let’s start with the manual transmission.

For 2016 Jaguar F-Type shoppers will have the chance to manually shifty the 2016 Jaguar F-Type  that’s as long as they opt for the V6-equipped rear-wheel-drive model.

Jaguar’s paddle-shifted eight-speed ZF unit still remains the default transmission, but if you like an old-school stick shift, and you don’t have to have the supercharged V8, you can equip a 2016 Jaguar F-Type with the new six-speed ZF manual.

Brand-Spankin-NEW-FinalThe down side? The 2016 Jaguar F-Type AWD  is 0.2-inches taller and 176 pounds heavier because of the new Jaguar AWD system.

The up side?

Jaguar’s AWD system allocates 100 percent of the engine power to the rear wheels maintaining that classic sports car feel. Of course if the rear wheel start to slip, the AWD system can send up to 50 percent of the power to the front wheels for sure footed all weather traction.

What is it like to drive the new AWD cat?

We don’t know yet, but here is TFLcar’s insider video of the 2016 Jaguar F-Type AWD from the 2014 LA Auto Show.
