There comes a time in every car’s lifecycle for a facelift and freshening. Such is the case with the 2015 Nissan Juke that gets many updates for the coming year.

The most visible are the new LED lights, revised grille, and the front and rear bumper covers. You do have to look very carefully and closely to spot the changes. The Juke already has an unmistakable appearance, and these changes are minor tweaks.  However, even the most casual of observers will notice the bright new colors and the new “Color Studio” trim.

Color Studio is a way for you to mix and match colorful trim pieces and accessories and make you Juke truly unique. You can go to Nissan website now and start playing around with color combination until you are blue in the face. Actually, some color combinations works surprisingly well. Who knew purple, blue, and maroon go together? There are ten exterior and two interior customizable components. There are eight available colors, and you can make each component a different color if you wanted. Possibilities are endless.

It’s not all about nip, tuck, and colors. The 2015 Juke gets additional standard equipment: rear-view monitor, Intelligent Key with push-button start, bluetooth connectivity, and more.

There are also news under the hood, although not drastic. The 1.6L turbocharged and directed-injected four cylinder returns with the same power output of 188 hp and 177 lb-ft or torque. However, this is the second generation of the engine. The compression is raised to 10.5:1. It’s lighter weight and has new components to reduce friction. The bottom line is that you get the maximum torque 400 rpm sooner. All the twist is available from 1,600 – 5,200 rpm. There is a 12% improvement in emissions, and the little guy is able to get 1 MPG better across the board. The front-wheel-drive Juke is now rated at 28 MPG city, 32 MPG highway, and 30 MPG combined. And the AWD model is at 26 MPG city, 31 MPG highway, and 28 MPG combined.

The Juke NISMO and NISMO RS are still available. The 2015 model is on sale now and starts at $20,250.
