The 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated vehicles of the year. Since the official unveiling last December to audiences around the world, people have been clamoring for more information. 2015 Mustang Body Styles

The 2015 Mustang will be available in two different types of body styles; a fastback coupe and a convertible. The fastback design was first introduced to the Mustang in late 1965 and has been a trademark of the car ever since. Famous movie Mustangs, include Steve McQueen’s green car from Bullitt or the Shelby GT500 from Gone in 60 Seconds.

In the first round of Mustangs being built, only the fastbacks will be constructed. According to Ford’s internal document, production could start as early as July 14th. Convertibles will be part of build two, starting later in the year. The convertible top is an all-new piece designed to be more comfortable and faster in operation.

2015 Mustang Engine Options

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be available with three different engines of various design and horsepower.

  • 3.7L V6 making 300 hp
  • 2.3L EcoBoost turbo I4 making 310 hp.
  • 5.0L “Coyote” V8 making approximately 435 hp.

2015 Mustang Trim Options

Over the lifespan of the sixth generation Ford Mustang, there will probably be tons of special editions and variants. As of this moment, Ford has only announced four versions of the 2015 Mustang. All versions will be available in both coupe and convertible trim.

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be available in a variety of different colors. They are listed below. It should be noted that some colors are considered premium colors and require an additional fee over the standard cost of paint.

  • Race Red
  • Competition Orange
  • Triple Yellow (additional $495)
  • Deep Impact Blue
  • Ruby Red (additional $395)
  • Black
  • Magnetic
  • Guard
  • Ignot Silver
  • Competition White

There are also two exclusive colors to the 50 Year Anniversary Edition Mustang GT.

  • Wimbledon White
  • Kona Blue

2015 Mustang 50 Years Anniversary Edition

2015 Mustang Anniversary

The year 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. To help celebrate, Ford is producing a limited number of fully-loaded Mustangs with special badging and options. They will only be producing 1,964 (see what they did there?) fastback coupes (and one convertible to be raffled off for charity), and each will be individually numbered. They will only be available in Wimbledon White and Kona Blue. Expect them to be in limited quantities with dealerships marking the prices up substantially.
