Think of the all-new Volvo S60 Cross Country Sedan as a V60 Cross Country (wagon) that’s no longer a wagon. Just like the AMC Eagle Sedan from the early 1980s, and other lifted, all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles from the 1990s, the Volvo S60 Cross Country Sedan has a robust look, lifted suspension and a capable AWD system.

Overall performance should be on par with the Volvo V60 Cross Country, but the Volvo S60 Cross Country Sedan will have a little less weight to contend with. Raised 2.5-inches (65mm) the Volvo S60 Cross Country Sedan will have the crossover sedan segment all to itself. The only way Volvo is going to offer the Volvo S60 Cross Country Sedan in the United States is with T5 AWD gas powertrain which will make 250 horsepower.
The S60 Cross Country is the sole contender in the luxury crossover sedan segment. We have identified a clear niche in the market for a more capable sedan with rugged styling cues and a higher stance. Sure, it resembles other lifted sedans from the past; however, the Volvo S60 Cross County Sedan looks much better. Hopefully, we’ll get up close and personal with this interesting sedan in the near future!
