It is a story as old as time itself: prey versus predator.
TFL’s wildlife photographer recently managed to snap this image of a European 2015 Golf R stalking an unsuspecting Subaru XV Crosstrek before the new Golf R pounced.
The unaware Crosstrek was resting by the side of the road in a Southern California Nature Preserve, when the hungry 292 HP European invasive species saw the opportunity for a quick meal.
Of course with higher ground clearance and better off-road traction the Subaru could make a run for it into the bush, but on the road with only 136 HP the Subie is as good as caught.
How did the scenario play out? Let’s just say it wasn’t pretty, and leave it at that along with this image.
