The E-Car 333 could be a brilliant city car for congested city centers. Beijing, New York, London and Mumbai need small, non-polluting vehicles that can haul a few people safely. The E-Car 333 Concept looks like a viable candidate for city transit. When it goes on sale in 2016, it will be priced from around $20,000 up to $47,000 + (U.S.).

Powered by a 15- or 25-kW electric motor fed by a lithium-polymer battery, the E-Car 333 Concept EV has a range of about 186 miles per charge (300 km). “The body of the E-Car 333 is composed of layered linen, the chassis is made of recycled steel and the technical chassis in recycled plastic . The batteries will not be recycled but reconditioned and sold for use in another application. The interior is spacious and quality . The E-Car 333 is an example of simplicity and safety, particularly of economy, barely €1 per 100 km.” – – (translated) E-Car 333

The E-Car 333 will go on sale in Belgium where it will be produced as well.

According to the developer, “one tubular chassis metal for six different versions for private use, as well as family and professional use: cargo, buggy, roadster, hard top, urban with 3 or 4 seats.” I believe these are variants proposed for future models. The E-Car 333 is currently a three-passenger vehicle.

The overall design is elegant and simple. Hopefully, it drives as good as it looks.
