Toyota is bringing the refreshed 2016 Toyota Avalon to the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. It will be fully revealed on Feb 12, 2015 and TFLcar will be there to live-stream the debut, via our TFLnow Live Stream channel.

The 2016 Toyota Avalon’s updated front end is not a big departure for Toyota’s large sedan, as the overall design theme remains the same. The lower grille opening grows larger and wider and bears a strong resemblance to the updated 2015 Toyota Camry.

Expect the 2016 Toyota Avalon’s powertrain choices the to also remain the same. The current selection offers either 268 HP V6 and 200 HP Hybrid variants. Toyota has a tendency to retain familiar powertrains in their vehicles, I would assume, to maintain reliability. For the mainstream buyer, with reliability and fuel economy typically standing at the forefront of their purchasing decisions, the 2016 Toyota Avalon should not disappoint.

It’s likely the interior will receive updates with upgraded materials, an updated layout, and the latest array of safety and entertainment technologies, including Toyota’s Entune infotainment system.  Safety will likely also be a priority.

Here is a first-drive review of the original 2013 redesign of the Toyota Avalon.
