The Ford Explorer continues to enjoy strong sales. It grew 31.8% over last year, and had its best February since 2006. The face-lifted 2016 Explorer will go on sale in the summer of 2015.
The Honda Pilot was the most improved full-size crossover in February as it continues to nearly double its sales over last year. It remains in the seconds spot, as the Toyota Highlander continue to struggle (it decreased -6.5%). It’s the only full-size crossover to show a decline in the top eight.
The Chevy Traverse and Hyundai Santa Fe also enjoyed a great sales month, as did the Sorento, Pathfinder, and Acadia. The Dodge Durango saw a significant decline in sales. Could it be the one of the more masculine crossovers in the segment can no longer succeed?
Mazda CX-9 saw a modest rebound in February after many months of struggle.
