The new Buick Verano, called the Wei Lang in Chinese, will debut at the Shanghai auto show.

Buick released a teaser photo of the new Verano sedan, which will debut at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show on April 19th, 2015.

The styling of the new Verano, which will be named the Wei Lang in Chinese, is based off of the 2013 Buick Riviera concept car. Buick’s press release stated that the design theme of the Avenir concept car unveiled at the New York auto show was also used as inspiration.

GM didn’t release any specifics of the Verano, but the press release stated that it will “set new benchmarks for performance, safety and comfort in its class.”

The current Verano shares GM’s Delta II platform with the Chevrolet Cruze and Opel Astra, and is one of the few Buicks available with a manual transmission. A six-speed manual is optional on the Premium model with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
