What is the “super-turbo” Volvo XC90 T6? It’s the heart of the all-new crossover from Volvo. This is a 2.0-liter supercharged and turbocharged engine. How can this small engine move a large three-row crossover? It produces 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque between 2,200-4,500 rpm. It sends power down the line to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
In the beginning, the T6 AWD is the only drive train configuration available. The fancy T8 hybrid will come some time later.
The starting price for the base Momentum T6 AWD model is $49,895 including destination charges. If you begin to check off optional packages on top of this high-end Inscription model, the price will go up to $65,745 and this is before many optional accessories.
Volvo knows that the XC90 competes with luxury sport crossovers from around the world and it’s doing everything to bring the top level design and performance to its latest crossover. We cannot wait to see how the new XC90 does.
