It is a special treat to take the #MMUSA Jeep Wrangler Rubicon on the Rubicon trail. When Jeep puts the “Trail Rated” badge on one of their models, it is Rubicon trail approved. And this is not an easy trail. Nathan and Andre tackle the gnarly trek from the eastern entry. The tight Motor Mountain USA schedule does not allow to try the entire stretch that could take two or more days. However, the Jeep and trailer do several miles of the trail for an amazing time.

The fully stock Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock and the trailer went through the Nevada desert in the heat of the summer with air conditioning, then straight onto the Rubicon trail. Just an adjustment in tire pressures is all that was required to do both in one day.

The next step was to reach the highest drivable mountain top in California. Easy, right? Nope. How about 15 miles of steep and rocky trail in low range 4×4 sound? And don’t forget, the trailer went with us everywhere. The desolate high alpine environment on the way up to the laboratory gates of the White Mountain was a whole other world.

One of the best ways of experiencing America first hand is hitting the open road with the windows and top down in the 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock. The Motor Mountain USA (#MMUSA) team embarks upon an epic road trip this year by visiting the highest drivable roads of every state in the USA. Along the way Nathan, Roman, Andre and Emme will visit locales less traveled and uniquely American attractions that make the United States one of the world’s favorite tourist destinations.

As an added element of adventure to make it a little more interesting and to involve our viewer audience, TFL Car has commissioned 50 commemorative silver belt buckles that represent each state in the US. Upon each visit to a state, a belt buckle will be hidden for future discovery. With each episode of MMUSA, the GPS coordinates will be announced so some lucky person will find it. We only ask that you send us a picture of yourself with the belt buckle. Use the hashtag #MMUSA or #MotorMountainUSA, then you can tweet to us @TFLcar, Facebook us at TFLcar, email to roman@tflcar.com, or all of the above.

The California belt buckle is hidden close somewhere along the White Mountain Trail. Watch this week’s Motor Mountain USA video to find the exact location of the hidden prize.
