Honda has announced that its all-new 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will be available for purchase on March 15th. This all-new Civic has been made to offer customers, “A new level of style, sporty driving performance, technological sophistication and value.” according to Honda’s press release.
The Coupe is set to roll out on the 15th at a base price of $19,050 for the LX trim with 6-speed manual transmission. The Japanese coupe can be priced up to a max of $26,125 for the Touring trim level with CVT Transmission. Honda also offers available premium comfort and convenience features including Remote Engine start, Smart Entry with Push Button Start, and rain-sensing wipers which come with the nicer trim levels.
The Civic Coupe has three powertrain options to pick from. First is a 2.0L straight-four producing a peak 158 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 138 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm, all of which is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The naturally aspirated engine is good for 26 mpg city and 38 mpg highway for a combined estimate of 31 mpg. Additionally, the 2.0-liter engine can be paired with a CVT. This $800 option ups the gas mileage a tad to 30 mpg city, 41 mpg highway and a combined mileage of 34 mpg.
The third option is a small but strong 1.5L four-cylinder turbo turning out 174 hp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 162 lb-ft. This engine can be had only in conjunction with a CVT which should achieve 31 mpg city and 41 mpg highway for a combined total of 35 mpg.
In case four doors were too many, the new Civic coupe will be available shortly featuring a slew of new features and powertrain options.
