For those who want a combination of high performance and daily driving usability, the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 may be the answer.

At a starting price of $62,135 for the coupe and $69,135 for convertible, the new Camaro offers a 650 horsepower supercharged LT4 6.2 liter V-8 engine that can propel the ZL1 from zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds.

The ZL1 can also hit the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds at 127 mph, brake from 60 to zero mph in 107 feet and corner at 1.02 g. The ZL1 is 220 pounds lighter than a regular Camaro.

Along with the ZL1, Chevrolet is going to offer the 1LE package on both the V-6 LT and he V-8 SS. The package will cost an additional $4,500 on the V-6 LT coupe. The package adds the SS’s FE3 suspension.

For the V-8 1SS coupe model, the 1LE package will cost an additional $6,500 and will come with the ZL1’s electronic limited slip differential and FE4 suspension with magnetic ride dampers.

The LT 1LE can go zero to 60 in 5.2 seconds while the SS 1LE can go from zero to 60 in 4.2 seconds.

The LT 1LE has 0.97 g max cornering while the SS 1LE has a 1.02 g max cornering. For braking, the LT 1LE can go from 60 to zero in 112 feet while the SS 1LE can go from 60 to zero in 107 feet.

The SS 1LE also is 230 pounds lighter than the SS without the 1LE performance package.

Both the ZL1 and the 1LE package will be available later this year.
